About us
The Mitsubishi 501J and 501JAC gas turbines are advanced-class, high-efficiency power generation units developed by Mitsubishi Power. Founded in 2025 at the request of end users of the Mitsubishi 501J/JAC combustion turbine, the 501J/JAC user group represents the interests of end users operating these machines and surrounding powerplant equipment to help ensure rapid information exchange and tech support via user-only discussion forums.
-
Mitsubishi 501J:
This turbine is known for its high efficiency and robust performance, featuring cutting-edge materials and advanced cooling techniques. It achieves efficiency exceeding 64% in combined-cycle configuration and offers a power output typically around 470 MW. The 501J incorporates innovative combustor designs that reduce emissions and improve operational flexibility. -
Mitsubishi 501JAC (Air-Cooled):
The 501JAC is an evolution of the 501J, incorporating advanced air-cooling technology to reduce complexity and improve reliability and maintenance ease. By minimizing the reliance on steam cooling, the 501JAC achieves enhanced operational flexibility, lower operational costs, and simplified maintenance processes. This variant maintains similarly high efficiency and output, making it particularly suitable for operators seeking reduced lifecycle costs and streamlined plant operations.
